Foster Grandparents Program
There are currently 42 Foster Grandparents in schools and other educational facilities throughout Putnam and St. Johns Counties, making a difference in children's lives. We are always taking applications and welcome any applicant who has a heart to help children.

If you are interested in
becoming a Foster Grandparents you need to be:
60 years of age or older
A person of good character, who is patient, kind, and willing to help young children or toddlers
On a limited income
In reasonably good health, documented by a physician
Able to get to and from your assigned location on a daily basis and any meetings or special gatherings that may take place
Willing to serve for at least 20 hours per week (Monday-Friday, daytime hours).
Your benefits would be:
Satisfaction from helping others who need you
Opportunity to make new friends
A tax-free payment of approximately $200 per month, with NO STRINGS ATTACHED. Payment will not affect any benefits that you are currently entitled to receiving.
Lunch at your assigned location
Paid holidays (Scheduled by the Putnam/St. Johns County School Boards and Communities In Schools).
